Shonna Springer: the 2012 David McCrosky Volunteer Photographer-in-Residence

Shonna Springer was born in Memphis, TN in 1978.  She has been a life-long Memphian and cannot imagine calling any other place home.

She attended University of Memphis and graduated in the year 2000 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology.  She is married to her high school sweet heart and best friend, Jeremy Springer.  They have two daughters, ages 9 and 3. 

Shonna has always loved photography as she feels it captures little moments in life that can be enjoyed for many years.  She received her first film camera at the age of 9 and has not stopped taking photographs since!

Family is the most important thing in Shonna’s life and she feels like it should be cherished always.  She has family members at Elmwood including her great-grandparents so the grounds hold a special place in her heart.  It is for this reason that she looks forward to capturing the beauty of Elmwood throughout 2012 for others to enjoy today and in the future.
